What I find weird about this album is the way the instrumentals were written--to sound like a respite in the middle of a snow storm. Then there's the tortured vocals trying to make sense of it all. An amazing release.

These first two tracks sound incredibly promising. I dig the old school black metal vibe combined with great production values. Also, the singing deserves special mention!

If I'm being truthful, this is one of the best black metal EPs I've heard recently. Maybe even ever. A bold statement? Perhaps. But also perhaps not. I've revisited it a lot in the past week, and I really do struggle to find flaws. I can nitpick trivialities, but I can't fault anything. The songwriting is pristine; the melodies flow so beautifully and naturally. The atmosphere is palpable and the emotion is genuine. Not so much as a single note or phrase feels misplaced. Truly magnificent.
